Fun in the sun!

Ok so I have a little catching up to do. As you can tell the last post was about June and it is July now. Oh well better late than never right! Well last week there was finally some good weather so we headed up to Pineview resevoir to to a little boating and my parents were camping. It was fun to have a relaxing day and bask in some sunshine. Usually there are some nice beaches to play on, but this year there has been so much water that the lake was full to the brim! But we still has a great time.
Carson decided that he is big enough to ride in the tube behind the boat all by himself! Funny because last year he wanted nothing to do with that tube, he would not even sit in it at the beach. It was fun to see him get back there and be brave. But it was also sad because it was just another thing showing me that he is growing up fast. He watch my sister ride it and learned to say "HIT IT!" when he was ready to go, and how to put his hand up to stop. It was cute because all you could see was his hands holding on and his little head bopping up and down.
Afton just had a great time playing in the sand and water. And of course she enjoyed the cupcakes my mom brought.

Afton being the Godess she is!

Brrrrr! But fun!

Ok so June was unseasonably cold this year. So what did we decide to do? Go to the cabin where it was even colder! But is was fun to go up there because we have not been in a while. We had some fun with the cousins and grandparents. We spent one day at Yellowstone and got to see a lot of animals. And the next day we just hung out at the cabin and vegged! Carson just loves to explore and it is so beautiful up there it is always great fun!

Afton screams for ice cream!

So me being the smart mom I am gave Afton a little ice cream cone in the back seat. Well I turned around when we got home and well I think the pictures speak for themselves. It was all over the door, Afton, the carseat, the ceiling, just everywhere!  But man she was happy!

Baseball

So the city we live in does something called "itty bitty baseball" for 3 & 4 year olds and I signed Carson up. It was fun to watch him interact with all the other kids and learn new stuff. At first they just had  stations where they would learn one thing like catching, throwing, hitting, running bases etc. But then they started to play games and and all craziness began. It was very entertaining and fun to watch. Carson is really good at hitting the ball but paying attention and not goofing off is definately something we need to work on. Next we will be doing itty bitty soccer. Though he has already informed me that he is not a soccer player. Sorry I didn't get very good pictures but here are some.

Tulip Festival

Well since we live so close to thanksgiving point and we have a membership there we decided to take advantage of it and go to the Tulip Festival at the Gardens. If you have ever been there it is absolutely beautiful. It was a perfect day (about 80 degrees) and I think everyone else thought so too. It was packed. So it made it kind of hard for any photo opts. And the kids don't help either. Well anyways here are some of the pictures we got.

Easter!

Ok I know Easter was a while ago and I have not updated the blog for two months now. But I do have an excuse. My computer has not been working. But we are now up and running. Well every year during the weekend of Easter Dustin's family heads down to southern Utah to go camping over Easter. We all bring 4 wheelers and play. Carson was so excited to go every morning he would wake up and ask "is it Easter time yet?". He just couldn't wait to hang out with his cousins and ride on the 4 wheelers. So he and his dad headed down with everyone else. Because my grandmother passed away Afton and I stayed back to go to the funeral. Unfortunately we missed the nice warm weather and it was cold and rainy while I was there. Oh well we had trailers so it wasn't that bad.  Afton had a great time walking around and exploring. She absolutely loves to be outside. And Carson was going non stop practically the whole time and had a blast. The Easter baskets are usually hidden outside and the kids go hunt for them but it was raining so the trailer had to do. But we all can't wait for next year.

Happy Birthday Afton!

I can't believe that my little baby girl is one. This year definitely went by so fast. She has been the best addition to our little family. She has so much life and love that I can't imagine what we did without her. She doesn't talk much yet but she makes sure you know she is there. And she is attached to her mommy. She had a great birthday with a lot of clothes and toys and of course cake! I have to be careful with her because I think she might be my junk food baby! She also started walking this week. She still a little wobbly but getting there. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and can't wait to see what the future will bring. We love her so much and happy birthday to our little princess! (ok she hates getting her picture taken nevermind she hated the dress my mom and I made for her.)
